ABSTRACT: Her presentation will not be about her current research, but rather about the core skills needed for writing and presenting in a current academic environment, pointing out the most common mistakes. This is especially suitable for Ph.D. students and junior faculty members.

BIO: Deborah Nováková is the Head of the Academic Skills Center at CERGE-EI. She has been teaching at CERGE-EI since August 2012. She has gained professional experience at the University of Birmingham, at Maastricht University, and at the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology in Calgary, Canada.
